Timor razor with 6/8” blade Giesen & Forsthoff has been manufacturing straight razors or barbers since 1920. From its plant in the heart of the Solingen Steel district, TIMOR razors come out, which have been serving hairdressers, barbers, beauticians and individuals for 100 years. In fact, it is one of the few remaining manufacturers in the world that also manufactures its knives in Solingen, by hand.
The 6/8 knife is the widest of the German producer, with a blade made of Special Carbon Steel, and full-hollow ground (completely concave). Its Maple wood handle is of great beauty. Engraved blade with golden inserts.
For correct maintenance and to guarantee a long life for the razor, it is recommended to rinse with water and dry completely after use. If it is not going to be used for a long time, it is advisable to put a little neutral oil on the blade, and store it in a place without humidity.
The razor is presented in a cardboard gift box, among other things, according to TIMOR, to allow the razor, once stored, to "breathe" and release any moisture it may retain, thus preventing oxidation.
Manufactured by Giesen & Forsthoff, in Germany.
