The hard carbon steel blade is equipped with an oil pan and ventilation holes (cooling fins). This reduces the risk of wear and overheating. In addition, the length of the cutting head can be adjusted with the lever on the side from 0.5 to 3.5 mm.

Oil deposit:
They function as an oil reservoir and retain oil for longer, so the cutting head stays lubricated for longer. Additionally, this also ensures less friction and resistance, which can help prevent overheating of the blades. In summary; more revs/RPM and more power.

Ventilation holes:
Ventilation holes / cooling fins on the cutting head ensure faster heat dissipation. In addition, they also ensure the removal of accumulated dirt between the cutting blades and the machine. Both aspects significantly extend the life of both the trimmer and the cutting head.

Normal cutting heads require oil on a continual basis and this is something that is often "forgotten". The oil has a cleansing and lubricating effect. In practice, however, this happens too little, which causes the cutting head and the machine to wear out more quickly. This, in turn, can lead to (erroneous) claims and dissatisfied customers.

Our new cutting heads overcome many of these problems, but it is not wise to tell groomers that they are maintenance free and oil free. This will likely result in even less maintenance and greasing.
